First day ever blogging.

If you're reading this, I want to thank you for making it this far on my website and being a witness to my first blogging experience. You ever write a long paragraph under your instagram post then delete it because it just doesn't feel like the place for it? Like you just have a lot to say but because social media is all about media, meaningful texts often goes overlooked. Which led me to my decision to start blogging my journey to share more insight into my experiences and art where I know people are more inclined to read a whole thread. Thank you again for reading this by the way! Also, I want to connect with you guys better in a space where it's safe to express ourselves freely, respectfully, and without judgement. There are also topics I want to touch on in the future that I would love to build a conversation around to create more awareness. Stay tuned for that!

However to introduce that energy, I'd like to share something that's often on my mind. Lately, I've been trying wrapping my head around what it really means to "believe in yourself". What I've come to is that it is easy for you to say to yourself "I believe in me" or look in the mirror and say "I believe in you" but it's hard to actually believe in yourself when put to test. For example, you could be offered an opportunity that is one you've been waiting to get your hands on for some time now but you don't take the presented opportunity for whatever reason at the moment but really, deep down inside, you didn't believe you were deserving of the opportunity, or worse, worth it. Believing in yourself is deep intimacy with yourself. Believing in yourself is to love yourself unconditionally. When you love yourself unconditionally, you treat and guard yourself as you would a baby or most prized possession because only then will you know your full worth. If you know that you are trying to fully believe in yourself but you're honest enough to know that you don't...my advice is to start with asking yourself, "why don't I believe in myself?". Sit with that and allow all answers to come up. Those answers are most likely areas in your life you personally need to heal from. Therapy really does help!! I know I just threw that in there out the blue lol but it's because this is coming from someone who wasn't necessarily against therapy but didn't understand it or think that it was beneficial. I was wrong. Giving therapy a try was one of the best decisions of my life but more on that another time. I say all this to say, believe in yourself fully and if you don't yet, find the necessary steps to take and see them through. It's 100% worth it! The grass is actually greener on the other side as long as you follow your intuition (gut instincts/God) to get there.

A lot of us are embarking new journeys in our own ways and I just want to end this off by saying cheers to new beginnings!! :)
